Dumpsters will be placed in neighborhoods throughout Unity Township. They will also be placed at Unity Township fire departments and in the parking lot at the Unity Township Municipal Building, 154 Beatty County Road, Latrobe. The dumpsters are for normal household rubbish that you would throw away with your garbage hauler. Residents may start using the dumpsters as soon as they arrive.
ITEMS THAT ARE NOT PERMITTED IN DUMPSTERS AND MUST BE TAKEN TO WESTMORELAND CLEANWAYS RECYCLING CENTER:
- Tires
- Freon Appliances
- Scrap Metal
- Glass Bottles
- Electronics
- Lead / Acid Batteries
- Polystyrene (Foam Packages)
- Paper / Cardboard
- Fluorescent Light Bulbs
Westmoreland Cleanways will accept these materials on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at no charge to Unity Township Residents. The recycling center is located at 355 Pleasant Unity Mutual Road, Greensburg, PA 15601.
