Unity Townships 3rd annual spring clean-up will be held on Saturday, April 29th, 2023.
We will be placing roll off dumpsters in neighborhoods throughout the township. Once you see the dumpsters in your neighborhood, please feel free to start using them.
We will also have several dumpsters available for use at the Township Office Parking Lot at 154 Beatty County Road.
These dumpsters are for normal household rubbish that you would throw away with your regular garbage hauler.
There are several items that are NOT PERMITTED IN THE DUMPSTERS. These items must be taken to Westmoreland Cleanways Recycling Center, located at 355 Pleasant Unity Mutual Road, Greensburg Pa 15601. These items include Tires, Freon appliances, Scrap Metal, Glass bottles, Electronics, Used Motor Oil, Lead Acid Batteries, Polystyrene {foam packaging), Paper, Cardboard, and Fluorescent Light Bulbs. Westmoreland Cleanways will be open Saturday the 29th of April from 8:30 am- noon for Unity Township Residents to drop off these Materials.
