Mobile Homes & Mobile Home Permits
Mobile Homes & Trailers (except Travel trailers) are assessed much in
the same manner as homes by the County Assessment Board, excepting an
allowance for inside furnishings which many times are included in the
original purchase price.
Mobile Home Assessments
Mobile Homes are assessed separately. If you do not own the land on
which the home sits you are only assessed for the mobile home. The
land owner is assessed for the land. (This is common in Trailer or Mobile
Home Courts). If you own both the land and the trailer, you are
assessed for both on the same bill. Mobile Home Installation Permits
Before installing a mobile home into the Township you must contact the
Unity Township Code Enforcement Officer (724-539-2546). Mobile Home
Removal Permits
- The fee for Mobile Home Removal Permits is $2.00.
Before moving a mobile home OUT of the Township (or to another location
within the Township) you must obtain a Removal Permit from the Tax
Office. This permit is good for 30 days from issue date. All
taxes must be paid before a permit is issued. |
