Garbage Haulers
There are five garbage haulers that service Unity Township. The rates and
schedules for garbage and recyclable pickup vary by hauler. Residents should
contact each hauler to determine the best plan for particular needs.

Leaves:
The collection dates for 2008 will be announced at a later date. Residents must contact their garbage hauler to arrange for
this service. Leaves must be placed in biodegradable bags, securely tied
shut and placed at the curb. Bags are available at the township office
starting at $2.50/per bundle of five. Our compost pile is also
available which is located behind the township building on Beatty County
Road.
Tire Recycling:
Westmoreland Cleanways will sponsor a tire, vehicle batteries, freon
appliances, scrap metal, and electronics collection at the Westmoreland
Fairgrounds on September 13th, from 8:30 AM - Noon. There is a fee for
tires, freon appliances, and electronics. Call Westmoreland Cleanways
at 724-836-4129 for additional information.
