YOUR HELP IS NEEDED
Unity Township is home to eight (8) Volunteer Fire Departments: Crabtree,
Dryridge, Lloydsville, Marguerite, Mutual, Pleasant Unity, Whitney-Hostetter,
and Youngstown.
These Volunteers have for years assumed a monumental responsibility for fire
protection to Unity Township. The Departments are non-profit
and rely, for the most part, on donations from residents and business owners
like you. Donations are greatly appreciated, so please support your local
volunteer fire departments.
Also, you can make a difference by becoming a fire fighting or non-fire
fighting volunteer of one of these community organizations. The alternatives
to volunteer fire service is a paid fire service, which would carry costs in
the millions of dollars for equipment and personnel. This alternative would
be financially devastating to the residents of Unity Township. Please help
us to continue to provide fire protection to our residents and support to
our neighboring services.
